Areez Mehdi
Areez Mehdi, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is an IB Diploma Programme student at Fairview International School with interests in social impact, education, youth advocacy, and international collaboration. He is actively involved in nonprofit organizations and youth-led initiatives, developing experience in research, communication, outreach, and organizational leadership.
Mehdi serves as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Human Resources at the Calm Minds Initiative and as Malaysian Chapter President of The HEAL Project. His volunteer experience also includes SafeSpace International, Travel Unity, Letters Against Isolation, ENGin, Zooniverse, Smithsonian Digital Volunteers, and 500 Projects of Love, contributing to initiatives focused on youth well-being, social inclusion, education, accessibility, and intercultural engagement.
An active Model United Nations participant, Mehdi has earned multiple Best Delegate and Outstanding Delegate awards and served as Head Chair and committee chair at several conferences. He is fluent in English and Bengali, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
He is a member of the Sea Dragons Gavel Club Education Committee during the 2026–2027 program year.
